On May 8, 1945, the Second World War ended in Europe. Several countries observe national holidays on this day each year, which is also called Victory over Fascism Day. The international project Cinema stories aims to show students what war looks like. They will be told about it by people who experienced World War II first-hand. Marianna Palková talked to the creators of a project which collects and presents the stories of survivors of World War II. The authors of the project are Post Bellum from Slovakia and the Czech Republic, Memorial Bautzner Street Dresden and Documenta Zagreb.
