Slovakia’s Tomaš Klobučník managed two excellent results at the European Championships in short pool held in Denmark. On Friday he missed the bronze medal by a whisker in the 100m breaststroke race. Then on Sunday he finished sixth in the final of the 200m breaststroke but he set a new national record of 2:04,97.
“I'm happy with this record, but I thought that I had trained for an even better result. However this final was a surprise for me because I did not expect to face such strong competition. I am surprised that I got a better result in the 100m race although I am disappointed that I missed the bronze medal there,” concluded Klobučník.
