Rock-climbing as a life philosophy

Rock-climbing as a life philosophy

Mountains and the city – that is the name of an international festival which took place for the 15th time in Bratislava, in between 2nd and 6th of April. At this event, mountaineering enthusiasts meet to present and discuss their experiences from the wild nature and to watch new theme related movies, which are also judged by the international jury.

One of the most awaited guests at the festival was Tommy Caldwell, a well-known American rock-climber, who has established some of the hardest sport routes in the United States. That was the official introduction, but now Tommy in person is here to tell us more about himself.

The music accompanying the interview is from the famous 1970s then-Czechoslovak singer Ivan Mládek and his banjo band. It warns all the eager rock-climbers not to climb mountains that are way too steep. Tommy Caldwell cannot take this warning seriously, judge for yourself.
