The Slovak men’s volleyball team have managed to qualify to the 2015 European Championships for the fifth time in a row. On Sunday they won the qualifying group C which they shared with Hungary, Greece and Estonia. The team are undergoing a generational transition and the 23 year old Lubos Kostolani, is one of the young guns. He plays club volleyball in the Czech Republic.
“I am very glad that we managed to qualify to the European Championships. My self-esteem has gone up because not only that I have been selected to play for the national team but I can do it at such a tough international competition.”, he said
Slovaks have little time for celebration as on Tuesday they fly to Puerto Rico for their debut in the World League. They share a group with China, Puerto Rico and Spain.
