Slovakia's national football team on Sunday said goodbye to the World Cup 2022 qualifiers, as well as to a calendar year with a high 6:0 victory over Malta. This happened thanks to Ondrej Duda scoring a hat-trick. Notching three wins, five draws and two losses, Slovakia ended third in the Group H ahead of Slovenia. Slovakia was out of any chance for Qatar World Cup 2022 already before Sunday's match. It had already been decided following October's qualifying matches.
