Three decades ago, on October 15th, Zoltán Demján and Jozef Psotka became the first Slovaks to set foot on Mount Everest and what’s more, they did it without oxygen masks. Psotka died on the way back from the peak however, a tragedy that cast a veil of sadness over this historical achievement.
