Bratislava book fair features literature stars
BRaK - the Bratislava book fair started on Thursday in the Slovak capital. The main topic of its 5th edition is the language of books. It will be possible to see the encyclopedia of imaginary world "Codex Seraphinianus" - the weirdest book in the world by legendary Italian designer Luigi Serafini published first in 1981. The Bratislava book fair opened three exhibitions of renowned book illustrators on Thursday - French star Laurent Moreau, Czech classic Jiří Šalamoun and another French prodigy Anne-Margot Ramstein. Before visiting the French artists' masterclasses on Saturday, it will be possible to meet and speak to the legend of German comics art Reinhard Kleist on Friday. And the festival will also feature discussions with writers such as the aforementioned Italian designer Luigi Serafini, the Iraqui author Hassan Blasim, the Chinese poet Liao I-wu or Kitty Crowther, an Astrid Lindgren Memorial Award Laureate.
