Next year between May 23 -26, citizens all across the European Union are to choose their representatives in the European Parliament. Slovaks have been notoriously uninterested in this kind of elections. Since they could first take part in it in 2004, Slovaks have recorded the lowest turnout in the whole EU in all three ballots. Not even one fifth of them bothered to cast their votes, and in 2014 the figure was as low as 13 percent. Anca Dragu tries to find out if the situation might be different next year.
