Children should be treated in specialized centres of excellence that gather together the top experts for a particular group of diseases and which are organized around the needs of patients and their families, ideally in such a way that kids do not feel they are in a hospital - this is vision for the future of paediatrics in Slovakia according to doctors attending an international conference that took place at the University Children's Hospital in Bratislava last Friday.
