Slovak President Andrej Kiska and Prime Minister Robert Fico sent condolences to their Italian counterparts in response to Wednesday's earthquake in the central part of Italy. Both statesmen expressed deep sorrow and stressed that Slovakia is ready to provide assistance to Italy. As of Thursday morning, 247 victims of the strong earthquake in the town of Amatrice have been confirmed and many other people have been injured.
