Finance Minister upbeat about Greece

The situation in Greece topped the agenda of the Eurozone's finance ministers at their meeting in Brussels on Thursday, TASR learnt on the same day. In response to reports that a lack of agreement between the International Monetary Fund and European institutions may propel Greece towards a new financial crisis, Slovakia's finance minister, Peter Kažimír said that the media are always anticipating some sort of crisis. "The system in Greece is stable now compared to the situation 18 months ago," said the minister. Peter Kažimír was also asked about Slovakia's chances of housing either the European Medicines Agency or the European Banking Authority after Great Britain leaves the EU. "It's necessary to harbour realistic expectations, however, especially with respect to an agency such as the EBA," said Kažimír.
