Slovakia expected to be eighth oldest country in 2070

The number of people living in Slovakia should be higher in the future than it was expected in 2013, however, the population is still getting older fast, reports the public broadcaster RTVS, citing Eurostat on Wednesday. Additionally, by the year 2070, the number of people in the country should fall under four million compared to approximately 5.4 million today. This combined with an ageing population would make Slovakia the eighth oldest economy in the European Union.
