Former Euro commissioner Figeľ diagnosed with cancer

A rare form of bone marrow cancer has been diagnosed for the first European commissioner from Slovakia Ján Figeľ, aged 57 wrote TASR on Sunday. The erstwhile transport minister, former leader of the Christian Democratic Party who was appointed as the EU's first ever Special Envoy for the promotion of freedom of religion or belief outside the Union last year, confirmed this information.
