One of the most important diplomatic priorities for 2018 and 2019 is Slovakia's presidency within the Visegrád Group, which will take place this July. The government has approved this priority on Wednesday. The fifth presidency within the Visegrád Four (including four Central European Nations: Poland, the Czech Republic, Hungary and Slovakia) should point out that Slovakia's participation in the Visegrád is complementary to the membership in the European Union and the country aims to stay at the core of the European integration process.
