Automotive suppliers expect sales growth above 5%

Most automotive suppliers in Slovakia expect a sales growth of more than 5% this year and significant investments in technologies over three to five years. A quarter of suppliers are talking about moving further production to Slovakia and almost half expect an increase in staff numbers in 2018. This is the result of a survey of automotive suppliers in Slovakia in 2018 by PwC, the Automotive Industry Association (ZAP) and the Slovak Automotive Institute (SAI) involving one-fifth of all Slovak automotive suppliers. The survey shows that as many as 79% of respondents reported an increase in sales last year, of which 45% reported double digit growth. Almost every other company (45%) is expanding or planning to expand into the field of electro-mobility.
