A Silicon Valley team led by Slovak native Radoslav Danilák constructed a chip that might be able to simulate human brain capacity in real time as early as in 2020. This milestone was expected to be reached in 2030. The energy consumption of this chip is 10 times lower than the current standard. It could become the first "European chip" despite the fact that it would have to be produced in Taiwan.
