Slovak priorities presented at UN

The Vice-Premier for investments and informatisation Richard Raši held a speech in the United Nations Organisation on Monday. He presented the Slovak national priorities in terms of the 2030 Agenda for sustainable development including the work of volunteers, the problems of aging and advantages it might offer. According to him, the implementation of the 2030 Agenda is impossible without individual commitments and intergeneration engagement. Raši also addressed questions concerning the state of the investigation into the murder of journalist Ján Kuciak and his fiancée Martina Kušnírová and the level of protection for Slovak journalists. The Slovak Vice-Premier assured the representative of NGOs that the investigation is the largest one in Slovak history with the FBI and European institutions involved. The Slovak government adopted the draft of national priorities regarding the implementation of the 2030 Agenda. Its priorities include, among others, legal state, democracy, focus on knowledge and an economically sustainable economy in times of demographic changes and changing global environment, decreasing the level of poverty and also the topic of social inclusion.
