Scientists from the Slovak Academy of Science's have developed anti-tick socks manufactured using natural substances with a repellent effect. The socks will be unveiled at the international agriculture and food exhibition Agrokomplex this Thursday. Scientists will present a prototype of the Prolen Tickfree functional fibre modified with natural substances that have a tick-repellent effect. The product has been developed as part of a project which combines new approaches in parasitology with chemical technologies.
