"I will consider temporary suspension from my post as a prosecutor", former prosecutor-general Dobroslav Trnka told the TASR news agency on Tuesday. He said this in response to the publication of the recorded communication with Marián Kočner, who is currently facing several charges; including ordering the murder of journalist Ján Kuciak. Trnka at the same time, cast doubt on the authenticity of the recording. On Tuesday, the Prosecutors' Council released a statement saying that it is deeply concerned and disturbed by information in the media concerning Dobroslav Trnka and also called on Trnka to request his suspension from the post of prosecutor until the case is examined.
