Slovak far right MEP could face disciplinary action

Slovak MEP Milan Uhrik, who ran for the far right People's Party Our Slovakia, could face disciplinary action due to a Facebook status in which he ridiculed Belgian transgender MEP Petra De Sutter. Uhrik on Thursday called De Sutter "a 56-year-old Belgian man, a transvestite". "Now imagine that this weirdo makes decisions on the future of Slovakia, European families, European civilisation and culture," he wrote. She's a member of European Greens and has been chairing the Committee on the Internal Market and Consumer Protection (IMCO) since joining the European Parliament. "I'm not afraid of disciplinary action, I wrote only the truth - that [De Sutter] is a 56-year-old Belgian man," Uhrik stated for TASR.
