Slovakia waiting for key moment in OSCE presidency

Slovakia expects a key moment under this year's Presidency of the Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe (OSCE). This according to Foreign Minister Miroslav Lajčák (Direction-SD nominee), who was speaking after Tuesday's discussion in Bratislava with visiting representatives of OSCE participating states. The main reason for the visit was the negotiation of documents to be approved by Ministerial Council participants on Thursday 5th and Friday 6th of December. "The Ministerial Council is one of the OSCE decision-making bodies, and its annual meeting is an opportunity to review the organization's activities over the past year and determine its future direction," stated Lajčák, adding that Tuesday's meeting provided a platform for open-ended discussions regarding Ministerial Council decisions.
