The head of the Constitutional Court Ivan Fiacan will take all necessary steps in order to verify whether there are sufficient reasons to take disciplinary action against Constitutional Court judge Mojmir Mamojka and will act accordingly, the Constitutional Court spokesperson Martina Ferencova stated on Thursday. Former Slovak Intelligence Service (SIS) member Peter Toth at the trial with those accused of involvement in the murders of journalist Jan Kuciak and his girlfriend testified that Marian K., who allegedly ordered the murder of the journalist, asked for help in custody from Constitutional Court judge Mojmir Mamojka and Smer-SD party head Robert Fico.
Special Prosecutor Dusan Kovacik has denied any meetings, communication or contacts with businessman Norbert Bodor, or influencing the promissory notes case or any other illegal conduct. He responded to the testimony given by former member of the Slovak Intelligence Service (SIS) Peter Toth during the hearing at the Specialized Criminal Court related to the murder of Jan Kuciak. Toth testified that Marian K. told Toth to ask Kovacik about the prospects for a potential release from custody or whether he could not intervene with prosecutor Jan Santa, who is dealing with the TV promissory notes case. He added that Kovacik had replied negatively via businessman Norbert Bodor, saying that Jan Santa would immediately call a press conference.
