Registration for voluntary military training launched

The Slovak Armed Forces have launched an admission procedure for those interested in voluntary military training, TASR was told by spokesman for the Armed Forces Štefan Zemanovič.

Interested applicants must apply for admission as part of the admissions process, which runs until May 31. The basic conditions include being 19 years old, Slovak citizenship and willingness to try something new.

The voluntary military training will take place in the Martin military training and mobilisation camp between July 8 and September 20, 2024. During the 11 weeks, the applicants will learn how to operate weapons and military equipment, move around the battlefield, master basic survival techniques in nature and become more resilient to stress in stressful situations. This stage of training will be completed with a military oath.
