At present, driving from Bratislava to Munich in an electric car requires planning and a plenty of charging station access cards. This is about to change however due to the Crossing Borders project: an initiative which joins together approximately 15 charging providers from Germany, Austria and Slovakia under one umbrella. But what are the details, and what will this mean for the growing number of electric car drivers in Central Europe? Gavin Shoebridge attended the Crossing Borders closing ceremony in Vienna, Austria to find out.
