Slovakia veiled in cigarette smoke

Drawing attention to the negative health effects of tobacco products is one of the aims of the World No Tobacco Day. According to data from 2014, smoking causes nearly 6 million deaths each year worldwide, 600,000 of which are the result of passive smoking. In Slovakia, with almost one quarter of its population being smokers, the number of annual smoking-related deaths is around 11,000.
