On the night from the 4th to the 5th of October 1944 a British Wellington bomber was shot down near Bratislava. It was part of the RAF Gardening operation and its mission was to lay mines in the Danube. None of the five crew members survived. 75 years later we revisit the spot of the tragedy and speak to the family relatives of the deceased British airmen.

Since 2003 the name of Charles Herbert Gunby, as well as the names of Arthur Mayers, Vallance McCall, Harry Hesketh and Robert Johnson, can be found on the memorial in Čunovo.
