By a sharp knife

On 21^st February 2019, the film By a sharp knife opened in Slovak cinemas. It is based on the real-life murder of 21-year old student Daniel Tupy, in which case the alleged culprits were imprisoned but soon after released. The feature depicting corruption in the Police Corps and the failure to sentence culprits opened in Slovak cinemas exactly one year after the brutal murder of investigative journalist Jan Kuciak and his fiancée Martina Kusnirova. RSI asked director Teodor Kuhn if this was a coincidence.
