That was the question Slovak poet Maria Ferenčuhová posted at a reading of her poetry in Swedenborg hall in Bloomsbury in London in November 2018. Unbelievable as it might sound, the fact is that there are British publishers happy to introduce Slovak fiction as well as poetry to their market. With or without the help of The Centre for Information on Literature in Bratislava, they spread the word that Pavel Vilikovský, Peter Pišťanek, Mária Ferenčuhová, Uršula Kovalyk, Balla and others, are worth reading also in translation.
