They used to call him the Slovak Fellini. Legendary film director Juraj Jakubisko died on 24th February 2023 aged 84. His films were awarded more than 80 awards at international film festivals. In 2000, Jakubisko was recognized as the best Slovak film director of the 20th century by journalists and film critics. On April 30, 2018, the legend turned 80. On this occasion, a niche DVD and Blueray label based in London, released “Birds, orphans and fools” on the British market.
