The composition Antiphon for cello and piano by Marian Varga (1947 – 2017), interpreted by Jozef Lupták and Nora Skut, will be performed on Thursday during the Bratislava Chamber Music Night in Klariská. The event will open the 25th edition of the international chamber music festival Konvergencie.
As the biggest musical adventure of the festival, the organisers announced the Slovak premiere of the pandemonium Frankenstein!! by the contemporary Austrian composer HK Gruber. They specify that it will be an ensemble version of the work, featuring Czech singer Iva Bittová as a chansonnier. The work combining musical theatre, cabaret, chanson, poetry by H. C. Artmann and contemporary music will be conducted by Marián Lejava.
Konvergencie will also celebrate their 25th anniversary in Žilina and Banská Bystrica, where they will bring several concert projects in early October.
