Composer Peter Hanzely has died at 77

Beloved music composer Peter Hanzely has died at age 77. He was best known for his song V slovenské dolinách, which he created together with lyricist Ľuboš Zeman and singer Karol Duchoň. His songs were mostly known in Czechoslovakia, but in 1974, he wrote the song, Čardáš dvoch sŕdc which advanced to the finals at the 1975 World Popular Song Festival in Tokyo. In addition to his numerous accordion recordings and popular musical collaborations, the composer also worked as a music editor at Slovak Radio, most recently at Radio Regina.
