The Slovak National Theatre (SND) welcomed Comédie-Française after 16 years with their captivating performance of Hekuba nie je Hekuba, directed by Tiago Rodrigues. The play intertwines Euripides' classic with contemporary issues, praised by SND's Izabela Pažítková for its depth and lead actress Elsa Lepoivre's powerful portrayal. Additionally, the SND Opera premiered Příhody lišky Bystroušky by Leoš Janáček, celebrating the Year of Czech Music. Conducted by Juraj Valčuha and directed by Sláva Daubnerová, the opera explores the connection between human and animal lives. Two more performances are scheduled for September 27 and 28.
