If you do an exhibition in a gallery space most of the people who attend the show, during the opening or during the whole period of the show are people who get used how to behave in the gallery or how to perceive the art work, so they are prepared audience. This format also brings a big audience that does not attend museum or gallery shows and they can react in a different manner to an art project.
