Government to distribute 77 million to frontline workers

Employees who worked in the frontline in the first wave of the coronavirus pandemic will receive 77 million euro from the state budget. Originally, the reward was to be 50 million euro. The Ministry of Healthcare received almost 38 million euro. In the coming weeks, the money should be redistributed to almost 56,000 people. Rewards will go to inpatient and outpatient medical facilities, ambulance services, as well as to rescuers and pharmacists. The employees of the Public Health Office were separately rewarded with the amount of 1.4 million euro. At the same time, they also received 180,000 for new employees. Bonuses to frontline workers will be distributed also by the Ministries of Interior, Defence as well as the Ministry of Labour, Social Affairs and Family. According to the Labour Minister Milan Krajniak, the money will go also to non-state facilities.
