Restrictions continue to loosen as of Monday

Starting from Monday, April 26, fitness centres and outdoor seating areas at restaurants can reopen after meeting certain conditions, according to a decree issued by the Public Health Office (ÚVZ). In fitness centres, the maximum allowed capacity will be six customers. They will not be obliged to wear a face mask or respirator during sports activities. The premises will need to be cleaned and disinfected more frequently, using means with a virucidal effect.

In restaurants, consuming food and drinks indoors is still forbidden. An outdoor seating area is considered to be a space with an open entrance, which is enclosed by structures from a maximum of two sides. Upon entry, a negative test will be required, not older than seven days, and customers must cover their airways. Face masks or respirators can only be removed for the time necessary for consumption.

Consumption in outdoor areas is permitted only for seated guests, while the gaps between tables must be at least two metres. Self-service, such as picking salads and pastries, is not allowed. Food and drinks may only be served by service staff. The staff must also bring customers their cutlery wrapped in paper napkins, as according to the decree, it cannot be freely available to customers at tables.
