A total of 600 doses of the Sputnik V vaccine were taken from the Imuna Pharm plant in Sarisske Michalany (Presov region) on Wednesday morning, in order to allow the Russian producer to inspect them as announced by the Health Ministry the day before (April 27).
The vaccine check should take one month. The final decision on using Sputnik V in Slovakia will be made only after this inspection is completed, said the Health Ministry.
Slovakia bought two million Sputnik V doses, in a deal that caused tension in the governing coalition and resulted in a cabinet reconstruction.
