Roma ethnics represent about 10% of Slovakia's population and their challenging situation- low education levels and social exclusion that keeps many of them in a vicious circle of long term unemployment and poverty - has been exploited by politicians for years with very few viable solutions offered. A team of social psychologists from the Slovak Academy of Sciences have taken a look at how the political discourse influences the ordinary Slovaks' perception of the Roma ethnics in this country. Barbara Lašticová explains their findings in an interview with Anca Dragu.
