Jaguar Land Rover will suspend car production at its new plant in Nitra as of Friday due to the coronavirus crisis, the plant's company relations manager Miroslava Remenarova announced on Wednesday. Meanwhile, activities related to launching the production of the Land Rover Defender will continue to the extent necessary. "Along with representatives of trade unions at our plant in Nitra, we've drawn up a plan taking into account a balanced approach both to the protection of employees' health and the protection of our business, both on the local and global scales," said Remenarova.
All Jaguar Land Rover plants in Great Britain have remained open, with the company keeping a close eye on the development of the overall situation, added Remenarova.
