Slovak companies can apply for state aid

Entrepreneurs from operations closed by the Government because of the novel coronavirus can apply for state aid as of Monday, said the Minister of Labour, Social Affairs and the Family, Milan Krajniak. Moreover, according to Krajniak, employers and sole traders with a decline in sales as will be able to apply for aid as of Wednesday, April 8, from 12 noon. "Starting from Monday, 12 noon, we'll launch the websites pomahameludom.sk and neprepustaj.sk. Both of them will have the same content, which will be regularly updated according to the situation and needs," stated the Minister. He also stressed that the state will provide aid in two specific cases. "The first case is that of employees who work for an employer which has been closed because of the 'corona-crisis' by government decision, that is by decision of a chief hygienist. Everyone will be able to see whether they fall into this first category. The other category is that of employers and sole-traders who have experienced a decrease in turnover this March," he stated.
