Delays in settling energy bills will not be penalised on a temporary basis due to the coronavirus pandemic, the Economy Ministry told the media on Thursday, adding that neither private individuals nor small or medium-sized firms who are late with these payments due to the current situation will be fined or have their energy supplies cut off. The Economy Ministry is currently preparing legislative changes to be discussed at the Cabinet session next week. "We're postponing for two months the option to impose sanctions for late payment of these invoices. However, nobody will avoid these commitments, as we're protecting energy suppliers as well," stressed the ministry's State Secretary Karol Galek.
