The largest governing Ordinary people party would win a general election with 18.4%, had a general election taken place on the turn of August and September, indicates a poll carried out by Focus agency. The second place would have been claimed by former Prime Minister Peter Pellegrini's Voice-SD on 16.2%, followed by Smer-SD (10.9%), Freedom and Solidarity (9.9%), We Are Family (9.1%) and the far right People's Party Our Slovakia (8.5%). The last party to make it into Parliament would have been Progressive Slovakia on 5.9% of the votes.
Meanwhile, the parties left outside Parliament would have included the Christian Democratic Movement (4.5%), For the People (3.9%), the ethnic-Hungarian SMK party (3.1%), the Slovak National Party/SNS (3%), Good Choice (1.9%), Most-Hid (1.7%) and Homeland (1.3%).
The poll was carried out on a sample of 1,022 respondents between August 26 and September 2.
