Slovakia's industrial output dropped by 2.5 percent year-on-year (y-o-y) in October, the Slovak Statistics Office reported on Thursday. Industrial development in October was mostly influenced by a y-o-y drop in the production of refined oil products, going down by 21.6 percent y-o-y. Other notable decreases were reported in the production of transport facilities - by 4.7 percent, machinery - 7.9 percent and other production - 15.6 percent. In the first ten months of 2020, industrial production was down 11.6 percent y-o-y, chiefly due to drops in the production of transport facilities, the production of machinery and the rubber and plastic products.
