The coronavirus epidemic crisis has decreased the number of foreigners working in Slovakia by approximately 10.6% (approximately 8,300), indicate the data of the Central Office of Labor, Social Affairs and Family. From February to November, their numbers in the country fell from around 78,200 to roughly 70,000. The largest number of foreign workers in Slovakia are Ukrainians (a little under 20,000) followed by Serbs (around 10,500), Romanians (7,700), Czechs (6,000) and Hungarians (5,000). 30% of foreigners worked in Bratislava (21,200), followed by the Trnava district (4,800) and the Malacky district (2,900). The lowest number of foreigners (11) worked in the eastern Slovak district of Medzilaborce.
