The state budget recorded a deficit of €187.8 million at the end of January, almost double that of the same time last year, the Finance Ministry reported on its website on Monday. Tax revenue fell by 13 percent year-on-year to €946.8 million, with the biggest volume traditionally coming from VAT. Corporate tax brought in €121.4 million, and €295.3 million was collected in personal income tax.
