Slovakia's economy, hit by the coronavirus pandemic, contracted by 5.2 percent for the whole of 2020, the Slovak Statistics Office reported on Friday. GDP fell by 2.7 percent in the final quarter of 2020, which was the second lowest fall seen last year. Growth in added value in several sectors, especially in industry, in the final months of the year, moderated the unfavourable trend seen in the first half of the year.
