Jaguar Land Rover Slovakia has launched the hiring of new employees for its production facility in Nitra, western Slovakia, as of Thursday, company head Russel Leslie told House Chair Boris Kollar and labour minister Milan Krajniak (both We Are Family) at their meeting on Thursday. The company plans to fill 600 new on-site jobs, with an additional 300 jobs expected to be created in sub-contracting firms. Krajniak detailed that Jaguar Land Rover Slovakia drew more than €5 million from the first batch of state aid. "The strategy of industry protection has paid its dividends in newly-created jobs," claimed the minister.
