A group of 'For the People' party members, centred around Justice Minister Maria Kolikova, voiced no-confidence in party leader Veronika Remisova at the session of the party leadership held late on Tuesday.
The party Presidium session was held to decide on the convening of an extraordinary congress. Kolikova's group left the session early due to disagreement over personnel changes. Kolikova stated that they will create their own faction within the party, with an eye towards changing the leadership but keeping the governing coalition together. She wants this faction to be represented also at coalition council sessions.
