US President Joe Biden praised Slovakia's recent progress, said Slovak President Zuzana Čaputová, who met Biden for the first time at the NATO summit in Brussels on Monday. "We discussed the importance of values that we share and that connect us - those of democracy and the rule of law. I told him about reforms that are being carried out in Slovakia, and Biden praised Slovakia for its progress," said Čaputová adding that the overall atmosphere at summit was very good. "It was highlighted repeatedly that Biden's election also means a return to values that he personally represents and it's also a prerequisite for strengthening relations in NATO," added Čaputová.
