The prices of industrial products and services for the domestic market increased by 2.2 percent month-on-month in July, the Slovak Statistics Office reported on Friday. The growth resulted from the following m-o-m increases: in electricity and gas supplies - 2.5 percent, in industrial production - 2.1 percent, and in mining and quarrying - 1.3 percent. In yearly terms, the prices of industrial products and services in July grew by 5.5 percent, chiefly due to the following price increases: in water supplies and waste-water treatment - 7 percent, in mining and quarrying - 6.6 percent, in industrial production - 6.4 percent, and in electricity and gas supplies - 3.7 percent.
