The Danube Strategy is the name given to the European countries that are linked by the Danube River and want to work more closely together on digitalisation and environmental protection. Nine EU member states and five non-EU countries are involved in the programme. In the following minutes we shall spend some time on the embankment of the Little Danube River in the village of Zálesie, only a few kilometres away from Bratislava. In the end of October 2021, this place, in particular its unique embankment promenade, was visited by representatives of the European Commission as part of the 10th anniversary of the EU Strategy for the Danube Region.
